I ran my Norton Anti Virus 2006 already, and it didn't detect anything. Internet Explorer keeps poping up with these advertisements. It's probably adware or spyware. But I can't seem to get rid of it, what can I do? And also when I type, I know I'm typing, but its slow(I type 75-80wpm!). And sometimes when I type, It doesn't enter anything. It will freeze for a bit, an not enter my words. Help!
I think I downloaded a virus, what can I do?free spyware
Its probably spy ware. I would suggest running your computer in safe-mode with networking and run your anti-virus just to make sure that it isn't one of those hard to detect viruses. If it is not one of those you can try downloading some free spy-ware software, but I don't recommend it because many times they are spy-ware as well. If you don't mind paying I suggest buying defender pro for about $20 its cheap but it does keep your computer free from viruses and spy-ware not to mention some other handy stuff.
I think I downloaded a virus, what can I do?live update
I highly recommend superantispyware. It will fix this problem. It is very effective and it is also free.I also recommend advanced windows care. It will fix lots of computer problems. It is also free.
Try going to http://www.prevx1.com and download the 30 day trial...Its a 30 day trial but still takes care of viruses, it even finds some that other virus scanners can't detect....It found 4 different malware on my computer that my mcafee wouldn't find....It searches for trjans, worms, spyware..etc...give it a try...
you need to get an adware spyware sweeper to remove the browser hijacker hopefully u can catch it in time -- i would disconnect the computer from the internet and run a full virus scan and a adware scan
Try downloading Spyware Terminator and run a scan with it. According to PC World tests, Spybot - Search and Destroy perfomed the absolute worst and detected only 20% of malware. ST performs much better in my personal tests.
