Cleaning your PC?

I am having problems with pop-ups on my pc, have started using fire fox but i am still gettin pop-ups. I have used adware, adwatch, spybot, stinger, I used AVG anti-virus but nothing is getting rid of these pop-ups and they are really p****** me off!! I was thinking maybe I should re-install windows on my pc? My pc is fairly new but didn't come with a windows cd, will I have to buy it?

If you are using Internet Explorer there should be an icon at the bottom righthand side of your screen that looks like a window. If you right click on it you can turn the pop up blocker off.

Reformatting your PC is the best solution to this. Try buying an OS cd for ur system and u'll find out the answer. Make some minor adjustments on the spam/adware filters, etc. Customize ur Internet settings. Try the AVAST Home or Professional Edition, it does me good. U must remember that these antivirus/spam/adware softwares designs these viruses.

Try using a program called spynomore. You can do a free scan, but if it finds spyware, it will cost you $20 to purchase and clean the pc using that program. I've found it to be very effective program though and highly recommend it.
that wont stop popups youl just piss yourself off by losing half of your drivers, for future reference thoughyou dont need a new windows cd just borrow someone elses as long as you use the windows key thats stored in your computer during installation youll be fine... try downloading popup blocker programs there are many fine ones out there for free just google it, spy stinger and the like are not really designed for popup blocking
ye u will probs have 2 re-install windows because u have quite serious spyware/adware, but it would be much cheaper 2 go and get it repaired professionally than buying a brand new windows cd.
Disable the messenger service (it is not used if you are not on an Intra-net). Go to grc.org and download shootTheMessenger and it will do it automatically.
