Is there a virus that can stop you from connecting to a network-- like wireless for example? look fo

my school has wireless all throughout it. I can connect to my network at home, but the one at school doesn't work. Now, I know it could be theirs but a friend of mine can connect to the same network and get online. I believe my computer has a virus or just not acting right. I've scanned w/ mcafee and i've ran spybot!, adWare, and CleanUp!. after running cleanup! my computer ran better, but its been a little iffy. I have a Toshiba A215 Series, Not sure exactly what model b/c idk how to find out. Any information would be great! :)

Check your wireless network settings. You might have another access point that is set as your default connection. As well, if you have a bridge setup, try removing it. Can you connect to any other wireless network besides your's at home? Chances are it's not a virus...

It could be because they're running a different OS than you...
