The Geeks at Best Buy nearly always recommend "Spy Sweeper", which was originally just spyware, but now includes antivirus. You can get it at Best Buy or download it at:

Also, the big ISP's usually provide all the above for free. Maybe your ISP does, too.

as far as free goes you can go to http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/ca... and download the personal firewall for free the anti spy ware you can find it by doing a search for adaware and spybot s%26d download both they will work together fairly well the anti-virus part. the saying you get what you pay for is true there is a free antivirus called avg you will also hafta search on that one. for privacy spyware blaster is pretty good and you don't lose that much pc power loading it
