not everything is always down to viruses or spyware. Have you defragged the drive recently - if not this can seriously affect the performance or computer. You should try that and see if that makes a difference.

It's probably mcaffee. i used to have it on my computer before i upgraded. Since it is constantly open and protecting your computer, it slows everything down.
defrag regular, in tools internet options clear the history and temp files runs scans. do it all weekly.
