Aw bliss =] I was reading that bit on the mac website, is that true - macs don't get viruses?
I mean none at all, seriously? Spyware/adware nothing? Surely there's a couple lurking O_o I mean, of all the junk i've got installed on my computer just to stop 'em, i really want a mac now!! Hehe! ^^

Never heard of that before. Every computer can get a virus. Thats like saying only certain people get viruses.
There are less viruses that affects MAC computers, but there is no such thing as a MAC not getting ANY viruses. All computers are susceptible to viruses.
EDIT: You are reading something from APPLE. Thats like reading something from a cigarette company saying that they do not cause cancer.

There are some viruses for Mac, but there tend to be fewer for two reasons. First, the Mac market is much smaller than the Windows PC installed base, so there's not much incentive for someone to write malware for them. Apple could triple their sales and still not crack a 20% market share. Second, a few aspects of the OS, owing mostly to its Unix roots, provide greater security than Windows XP does. As a sub-point, the extremely tight coupling of Windows XP and Internet Explorer does not help the Windows platform.
