I can't get my task manager to work.?

I cant get my task manager to open up. I tried ctrl+alt+delete, I also tried right clicking on the start menu. It just won't come up. I have installed alot of spyware and adware removal software. Windows Live OneCare, Web Root Spy Sweeper, Ad-Ware SE Personal, SpyBot, and also System Mechanic 5. And they all say that I'm clean. can someone help me.

Try a repair install from the Windows CD.

I once couldn't get it to work, it was that i replaced it with process explorer and then deleted it(process explorer) form the hard disk. I re installed it and set it not to replace the task manager. if the problem is other one then process explorer can also help

SFC /SCANNOW at a command prompt.

Maybe the system file checker can fix it.
Try booting from your Windows XP disk and try doing a repair. If that doesn't work, boot up Windows and backup any data you don't want to lose and then reinstall XP.
first of all you should only have 1 ant- virus program and 1 anti-spyware. the others will conflict and cause problems with your computer running right
when task manage doesnt open it is a major sign that u might hav a virus....
